Our story – how we created the best durable labels in the world

We started our business in 1987, selling equipment for low-resolution dot matrix printers. 

The advance of home computing and printing equipment meant we moved on to creating durable laser imprintable labels. And from there, we progressed to producing labels for thermal transfer printers.

When industrial businesses realised that durable labels were a cost-effective alternative to traditional metal rating plates, things took off and we were able to expand across Europe and the rest of the world. 

More than 15 years of research and development led us to create the CILS 3.0^® print technology. This is durable full-colour, photo-quality graphic printing that produces the best labels in the business.

In 2018, we carried out what UL (Underwriters Laboratory) advised was the biggest single label approval project from any label manufacturer.

Now more than 30 years old, we have in excess of 10,000 customers worldwide.
