How CILS Labels Safeguard Hose Tracking Systems

Company background

Our customer offers fluid transfer solutions, products, and services to a wide variety of industries across the UK and Europe. They implement a Total Hose Management program to eliminate concerns about hose maintenance. 

 Challenge

They faced issues with their hydraulic hose labels, which needed to be more durable and resistant to fading in various environments. 

Key challenges included: 

  1. 1. The red print indicating the year of manufacture faded to orange over time.
  2. 2. This fading impacted the effectiveness of their hose management program.
  3. 3. Their newly purchased thermal transfer printers were configured to work only with a limited range of labels, making it essential for the new labels to be compatible.

Solution

We have provided durable hose label solutions for hundreds of clients in various industries, including Automotive, Plant Hire, Defence, Marine and Offshore, Mining and Quarrying. Our extensive experience provided us with a strong understanding of their range of thermal transfer printers. We were confident that our hose labels would meet the durability requirements for their industrial hose identification processes and remain compatible with their existing printers. 

CILS Hose Labels were tested and approved, and after performing a simple factory reset on the thermal transfer printers, they were able to print successfully without any issues.
