Cover-up Labels for laboratory

Background

The demand for high-quality clinical research continues to grow as laboratories and research institutions work tirelessly on clinical trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of various drugs. Research by universities, private organizations, and public institutions is crucial in ensuring that trials are conducted effectively and securely.

Protecting Patient Information During Clinical Trials with ‘Cover-Up’ Labels

During clinical trials, patient information needs to remain confidential, not only to protect the identity of the patient but also to maintain the integrity of the trial being conducted between the groups of patients who receive the drugs versus those who are given placebos.

We work with a number of laboratories currently conducting clinical trials, and we have seen an increasing demand for 96 well plate and vial labels that ‘block’ or cover up the patient’s name and details already on the sample tube so that no one knows the patient’s identity within the testing facility.

Our Recommended ‘Cover-Up’ Label

The ideal solution is a set of two ‘cover-up’ labels printed in duplicate, one for the tube and one for the lab report.

We recommend CILS-8700GBO labels, which have an opaque ‘block-out’ adhesive that prohibits data from underneath the label from being visible. These labels are used for ‘cover-up’ applications, secondary labelling, and sample re-identification for clinical trials on plastic, glassware, bottles and flasks, slides, tubes, and more.

CILS ‘cover-up’ labels provide an excellent printable surface for the best print quality from thermal transfer or laser printers, with strong durability against mild abrasion, smudging, handling, humidity, and moisture. The labels can withstand temperatures ranging from -30°C to +80°C and can be printed as single labels or in sets.
